The Riverside South Wall

My buddy Stanley and I are a little depressed. It's not like it's comparable to how German families must have felt in 1961 when construction on the Berlin Wall began, but our yards are being separated into north and south by an impenetrable cedar wall. (Note: Until late today, it remained quite penetrable, but since then Stanley and I have been unable to find any weaknesses.)

Where once an open field stood, now are two solitudes. Just as we were really starting to get along, we have this wedge driven between us.

On the bright side, we are free to run around in our individual yards. This is the first time since moving into this house that I've been able to be loose outside. I haven't been outdoors and off-leash ever in Ontario until today! Well, not legally anyway.

The real test will be how I react when I'm outside at the same time as Murphy. That hasn't happened yet.

The fence structure and all the gates are now complete. Just the finishing touches are left and those should be done next Saturday. I have a couple of pictures of the project part way through that I can post soon. I'll get some more of the finished product next weekend. If you're like me, you're scratching your head wondering how this project possibly got finished this fast. Very unusual around these parts.
