It took a little extra time in Game 5, but the Sens finished off their 3rd straight series in 5 games on Saturday. Alfie got the winner on a 1-on-3. These guys have been impressive in that every time something happens that would have thrown off last year's Senators (or any NHL edition of the Winnipeg Jets), they are able to get past it and bounce back with a big goal, a strong period, or a huge game.
Obviously they haven't lost 2 games in a row during the playoffs, and I don't think they've had two bad periods in a row either.
It will be tougher against Anaheim for sure. This little brown dog says the Ducks are the best in the west. Having said that, if Detroit wins, they will be tough too. And the Hasek story lines will be many.
