So by now you may have heard about Murphy. Murphy is the dog who lives behind us. He is bigger than me (maybe about 5 of me) and he is golden coloured. He's still a puppy sort of, but he's a pretty good dog. I have a hard time not barking whenever I see him. I'm getting a little better, but I still have a lot of work to do.
Murphy just got a haircut. He now looks very slender and sleek. But it's still cold out, so I hope he's doing OK. I get very cold in this weather, but I don't have as much fur as Murphy. The thing is, I'm used to it... until last week, he had a much thicker fur coat on.
This morning when I went outside for my last time of the morning, I was absolutely shocked to see not Murphy behind us, but another dog in the yard beside us! This family moved in about 2 weeks ago, but this is the first time I've seen this dog! I was flabbergasted!
He was out in his backyard without a leash (I of course was on my leash). We have no fence between us so he started coming over to me. I did what any logical dog would do... I barked as viciously as I could and tried to get at him to eat him.
Turns out his name is Stanley. He's small like me, and brown like me, but has more fur... a little scruffier. He's also much quieter. But when he started to come over to me, he had to plow his way through the snow and I think his feet got cold. So he went back to his house. I'm sure it wasn't the last I'll see of him.
My people are now threatening to expedite the building of a fence.
