Dinner and a Movie

My people made dinner tonight and watched a movie. Both yielded very poor results.

They have become big fans of going out for pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup, since moving to Ottawa. They mostly go to Pho Hoa Nam in Barrhaven, but they'll try any place at least once. Pho Mi Bo Ga is also good. So naturally they thought "how hard could this be?". It's just broth, meat, noodles and some sprouts right? Well, they tried it tonight and it was a disaster. For two reasons... (1) It just didn't turn out right, and didn't taste right. (2) It was pretty much as expensive as, or maybe even more expensive than, going out for pho. I'm not optimistic that they'll try home made pho again.

Then they watched The Number 23. IMDB gives it 6.3 out of 10. Hmmm... pretty generous.
