"Fall Rhapsody"

My people did some neat stuff on Thanksgiving weekend. Without me as usual.

They visited the Canadian Museum of Civilization to see Treasures from China. There was lots of old stuff spanning the last several thousand years from China. If you live in Ottawa and haven't seen it yet, you should hurry up and do so because (we think) it ends at the end of October.

They also went to Gatineau Park... a couple of weeks earlier than last year, when they missed all the leaves changing colour. There's nothing quite as peaceful as a leisurely drive through Gatineau Park on Thanksgiving weekend in an endless chain of carbon-emitting vehicles. (That's irony folks... everyone's there to see the nature, but it's bumper to bumper cars for the whole weekend.) The first photo below is from one of the lookouts... either Belvedere Etienne-Brule, or Huron Lookout. The second photo is of the colours at Pink Lake, which clearly is not pink.

This next picture was taken at the corner of Limebank and Leitrim, luckily just as an Air Canada flight was landing. It was originally just supposed to be a neat corn & sky shot.

This last photo was taken from outside the Civilization Museum, over the Ottawa River, towards the Parliament Buildings. The colours and the sailboat made it a neat photo.
