The World Is Flat, by Thomas L. Friedman.

Anyone involved in manufacturing, the service sector, or logistics and supply chain management should read this book.
It's also on sale at Chapters right now.
This one's next... Comes highly recommended.

So, i'm taking your suggestion and have started reading "The World is Flat" It's an interesting book reinforcing what I think many of us already know.
And, I saw a program on PBS a few months back about the book "Good to Great" I liked their analogy of comparing a company to a bus and the three principals to follow:
1. Get the right people on the bus.
2. Get the wrong people off the bus.
3. get the people on the bus into the right seat.
I think many leave out the last one.
just my two cents.
